LODI, California - F&H Construction,
one of the largest general engineering contractors in Northern
California, recently broke ground on its latest project for the
City of Lodi. The G Basin (at
DeBenedetti Park) Storm Water Pumping Station project
with a contract valued at $1.74 million, is slated for
completion in 2012.
The project now underway will
generally consists of construction of a new storm water pumping
station, which will include various site improvements,
excavations, 72-inch pipeline removal, concrete work, mechanical
trash racks, four submersible storm water pumps, piping
construction, electrical building, standby emergency generator,
electrical/instrumentation/controls, SCADA integration, along
with other incidental infrastructural components.
Darren Schulz, who has been with F&H Construction for over 30
years, will serve as the general superintendant on the project.
“This is an important project for the City of Lodi,” commented
Mr. Schulz. “Management of storm water is always a concern in
this area. The pumping station will provide the City with much
needed improvement to the functional capacity of the storm
drainage system along with integration with the recreational
facilities into G-Basin. “
