HILO, Hawaii – F&H Construction is commencing work on a new public works project, awarded by State of Hawaii, Department of Education. 

 F&H Construction’s scope of work will be performed under a contract, valued at $9,532,000.  The work generally consists of a new gymnasium that will be constructed for hurricane shelter standards, with adjoining locker facilities constructed to code standards.  The work will more specifically entail site work, hazardous materials abatement, concrete and steel work, carpentry, waterproofing and myriad other miscellaneous work attendant to the facility’s completion. 

 The project is estimated for timely completion in 2012.
