F&H Construction Nears Completion of New Lahainaluna High School Cafeteria

MAUI, Hawaii – F&H Construction is scheduled to complete the new Lahainaluna High School Cafeteria during the Summer of 2011.  Once complete, the student dining and indoor assembly facility will include numerous features comparable to those needed to achieve Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (“LEED”) Silver certification.

F&H Construction is serving as general contractor under an approximate $8 million contract awarded by the State of Hawaii, Department of Education.  The project will provide the Lahainaluna High School with additional dining capacity for 650 students, and will also be capable of meeting the school’s indoor assembly requirements, up to 1,000 students.

Founded in 1831, Lahainaluna High School is the oldest school in the State of Hawaii.  The campus rests near the base of the West Maui Mountains and overlooks the town of Lahaina.
