Los Vaqueros Conveyance Facility and Transfer

The Contra Costa Water District
pumps all of its water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin
Delta. In 1997, the Los Vaqueros Project was built as
a water quality project. It includes a new intake on Old
River near Discovery Bay, a water transfer facility. To
reach the reservoir from Old River, the water must be lifted
as much as 472 feet. This is accomplished through 12 miles
of pipeline and two pumping plants. |

Ship Unloader at Calaveras Cement
Company

| Description: |
The BMH Nordstrom’s shore-based
horizontal traveling ship un-loading screw conveyor,
pneumatic pump system, and a power distribution screw system
located at the Port of Stockton, terminal. The unloader, was
mounted on existing rails, and has a side-tilting system and
a clean-up unit. The downstream horizontal screw conveyor
has a specially designed cover belt with automatic
belt-lifting arrangement for continuous, enclosed material
feeding during operation along the screw conveyor length on
the jetty. BMH Marine was the supplier and F&H Construction
was the installer.. |
